Why We Built Outset Learn
Outset Learn was founded by the team at Grey Matta Solutions, a leadership consulting firm that has worked directly with organisations across Australia and beyond for over a decade.
Through that work, one thing became increasingly clear: the organisations that wanted to build broad leadership capability across their frontline needed something different. A system — practical, structured, and built to run internally within the organisation.
So we built one.
The content that now powers the Outset Learn library was developed through direct consulting work. It was tested with real leaders, refined through real organisations, and built around the specific challenges that frontline leaders face in the modern world. After refining it through pilot programs and beta testing, we made it licensable so any organisation could access the same quality of content and deploy it internally, to as many leaders as they needed, for one annual price.
The goal was straightforward: make it possible for organisations to give every frontline leader a real development pathway.

How We Built Outset Learn
Every program and module inside the Outset Learn library was built from direct experience — not assembled from generic frameworks, not adapted from international content libraries, not written by instructional designers working at a distance from real leadership challenges.
The content comes from years of working inside organisations. From coaching first-time managers struggling to let go of their technical role. From working with supervisors developing their communication and influence skills. From running multi-layered leadership programs for geographically and culturally diverse leaders.
That depth of real-world experience is what separates content that gets completed from content that actually changes how people lead.
